Laurie Martin, RN, MS, LAc

Laurie became interested in Chinese Medicine after working as a Registered Nurse for 13 years. Realizing that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, she sought out a healing modality that supported that belief. When Chinese medicine helped her find relief from severe allergies, she knew she had found her calling.

Laurie attended the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco where she earned her Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as interning with Koji Ichihashi, learning his family's style of Japanese acupuncture & herbal medicine (Kanpo). Laurie is able to confidently bridge the gap between Western & Eastern medicine, while promoting health with ancient Chinese wisdom and treatments. Her goal is to help people transition into better health, while teaching them how to maintain their health for the
future.

Laurie's practice includes treating pain disorders such as arthritis & fibromyalgia, working with pediatrics & allergies, skin disorders such as eczema & psoriasis, & helping with infertility issues. In addition to practicing acupuncture & herbal medicine, she is also pursuing a doctorate in Classical Chinese Medicine with 88th generation Daoist priest Jeffrey Yuen & is looking forward to joining a certificate program in Dermatology. She is also an adjunct teacher for the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, teaching classes on Herbal Medicine to the public.
